The Technogym Selection Arm Tricep Extension is a strength training machine specifically designed to isolate and target the triceps muscles located at the back of the upper arms. This machine is ideal for building tricep strength and improving the definition of the upper arms. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use the Technogym Selection Arm Tricep Extension:

Setting Up – Technogym Selection Arm Tricep Extension

1.Adjust the Seat Height:
This alignment is crucial for the proper movement of the triceps during the exercise.

2.Position the Arm Pads:
– Adjust the arm pads so that they rest comfortably against your upper arms.

3.Select the Weight:
– Choose an appropriate weight by inserting the pin into the desired weight level on the weight stack. If you’re new to the exercise, start with a lighter weight and gradually increase it as you become more comfortable with the movement.

Performing the Exercise – Technogym Selection Arm Tricep Extension

1.Starting Position:
– Sit with your back firmly against the backrest, and place your feet flat on the floor.
– Your upper arms should be against the pads, and your forearms should be vertical.

2.Executing the Extension:
Focus on contracting your triceps throughout the movement.

3. Returning to Start:
– Inhale as you slowly return the handles to the starting position, bending your elbows until your forearms are vertical again. Maintain control of the movement, avoiding any jerking or swinging.

4. Repetitions:
– Perform the desired number of repetitions, typically 8-12 for muscle building or 15-20 for muscular endurance. Focus on smooth, controlled movements to maximize muscle engagement.

Tips for Proper Form

1.Core Stability:
– Keep your core muscles engaged to maintain stability and prevent your lower back from arching during the exercise.

2.Elbow Position:
– Keep your elbows close to your body and ensure they do not flare out. This helps maintain the focus on the triceps and reduces strain on the shoulders.

3.Controlled Movements:
– Avoid using momentum to lift the weight. The movement should be slow and controlled, both when extending and when returning to the starting position.

4.Breathing Technique:
– Exhale during the pressing (extension) phase and inhale as you return to the starting position. This helps maintain a steady rhythm and supports better muscle contraction.

Safety Considerations

1.Warm-Up:
This could include light cardio or dynamic stretches, particularly focusing on the arms and shoulders.

2.Weight Selection:
– Start with a manageable weight, especially if you are new to the exercise. Gradually increase the weight as you gain confidence and strength in the movement Technogym selection arm tricep extension price.

3.Avoid Overextension:
– Do not lock your elbows at the bottom of the movement, as this can place unnecessary stress on the joint. Keep a slight bend in your elbows at full extension.

After the Exercise

1.Cool Down:
– After completing your sets, engage in a cool-down that includes stretching the triceps, shoulders, and chest to improve flexibility and reduce muscle tightness.

2.Wipe Down the Machine:
– Use a towel or provided wipes to clean the machine after use, especially the handles, seat, and arm pads, to maintain hygiene for the next user.
